Large vacations with my family are always more tiring than relaxing!

Our favorite local dairy stays open until sometime in October, then reopens briefly at holiday time to sell amazing ice cream pies! Thanks for reminding me that we better enjoy it while we can.

SueSue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-85447348898888085752009-09-10T16:35:46.064-04:002009-09-10T16:35:46.064-04:00Alex - What's a snowball? We have those here, too, but mostly just at carnivals, festivals, etc. I've never seen an actual "shop" that sells them. We call them snow cones and I'm with you, I'm not a huge fan. I much prefer ice cream!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04589606390781637262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-69091933665966326992009-09-10T16:32:29.596-04:002009-09-10T16:32:29.596-04:00Colleen - I can (and do) eat ice cream year round,...Colleen - I can (and do) eat ice cream year round, even though the really good ice cream shops close for the winter. Geoff, on the other hand, rarely eats it except in the summer. I'm sure the "Commissioner" and I will be at Somerset Creamery a least a few more times before he officially closes the season. But, I'm not complaining. Fortunately, I never caught the snowball addiction, but my 2nd born did, and let me tell you, she's not looking forward to the close of the snowball season.Alex the Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13516151350022189691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-26414549307008737482009-09-10T11:33:00.751-04:002009-09-10T11:33:00.751-04:00I have always dreamed of owning my own icecream sh...I have always dreamed of owning my own icecream shop and if I ever do, I will follow this example! I agree with Geoff about Ice Cream season though, I am not yet ready for it to end this year...as long as the days stay a bit warm I am hoping for a couple more ice cream excursions.

ColleenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-14564010895409118992009-09-10T09:03:42.514-04:002009-09-10T09:03:42.514-04:00Great job! I think the kids especially enjoy the weekend because they can pretty much come and go as they please between the house, the beach and walking the dogs. As soon as I finish this, I'm going to make our reservations for 2010!Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11462135507379897869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-17458084286475525632009-09-10T08:33:59.310-04:002009-09-10T08:33:59.310-04:00Nick would be there with bells on for free ice cre...Nick would be there with bells on for free ice cream........he lives on the stuff!
I love the mental( and real) pictures you have drawn in my mind of your weekend retreat, it sounds so lovely. She might have a heart attach and die from the shock, but she'd die so HAPPY!
