I'm trying to embrace the early holiday spirit a little bit this year but I was really surprised to hear the all day Christmas music on two radio stations already. I also think it's unfair to those who don't celebrate Christmas.

I remember once, oh somewhere around 1990, I was in Thrify's drugstore in November and I witnessed a toddler who, noticing all Christmas displays, asked: "Mommy, why are we skipping Thanksgiving this year?"~ Julie ~https://www.blogger.com/profile/17039141830981417093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-83769454711200722112009-11-16T20:45:51.607-05:002009-11-16T20:45:51.607-05:00oh, i think i know that station in phoenix. only b...oh, i think i know that station in phoenix. only because i was on the family vacation from hell (look kids, big ben) and it went all the way to practically mexico. :-) i have to agree with you this year! something is just wrong with the rush!Wisconsin Parenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14924575585098159701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453890267354195934.post-22096561961285709532009-11-16T19:58:46.451-05:002009-11-16T19:58:46.451-05:00It's too early for Christmas music, I agree. Loudon Wainwright III has a really funny folksong about this phenomenum, "Suddenly It's Christmas." You can find it on iTunes if you're interested. It's very, uh, germane. :-)Marie Cloutierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14938166831865436287noreply@blogger.com
