Thankful Thursday
Thankful Thursdays are all about taking the time to appreciate all the little things that actually went right during the week. I am someone who can get flustered very easily - even when the smallest thing goes wrong. So why not focus on all the little things that went right and be grateful?
1. I'm so thankful that the girls finally cleaned out the mound of shoes that had accumulated in the bottom of the coat closet. And I do mean "mound".
2. Speaking of shoes, I'm grateful that I finally made the time to switch my winter and summer clothes and shoes in my closet. (The closet in our bedroom is ridiculously small for two people - the rod is literally only 5 feet long.) Every season Geoff and I have to move our off season clothes out of the closet and into extra wardrobes in the basement. And, of course, for me this involves shoes as well as clothing. Since I'm a bit of a shoe addict, it's a big job. So glad it's done!
3. I'm so thankful and relieved that I was able to clear my schedule a bit this week and get a bunch of stuff crossed off my to-do list. The list was getting so long it was starting to stress me out. But, I have a handle on it now and should be able to finish it up on Friday.
4. I'm grateful that I was able to have a Girls' Night Out with Katie and Madeleine on Friday night - even if Katie bowed out of the movie. We did go out for dinner and (for the most part) enjoyed each other's company without too much tension.
I must say it was a good week. Time with my girls, finally having some summer clothes and shoes to wear (even if it's still unseasonable cold here) and crossing things off my to do. What's not to love?! How about you? What good things, big or small, happened to you this week?

Stopping by from SITS. Thankful Thursdays sound great. I'm thankful for being able to quit smoking for a whole year! And I am thankful that I have a wonderful daughter. By the way, if you get a chance please stop by my blog and enter my one year anniversary contest! - Preston
I don't do the wardrobe switching thing and I really really should. Maybe next week I'll put some thought into that. Possibly even some effort. Possibly.
Glad your GNO went well!
It sounds like a good week. I'm in FL, so we don't really switch out our wardrobes. I do need to go through my shoes and get rid of some older ones, honestly, I don't wear all the shoes I have.
We don't switch out wardrobes here either really because there are few "winter" clothes in this climate!
Hmmm... I'm annoyed right now about something so it's hard to think grateful when a huge annoyance is hanging over your head but there are the "usuals" I feel pretty good, I'm healthy, happy, I have a roof over my head, etc.
Oh, I'm glad the girls night out happened. Honestly, you inspired me to ask Sephie out (although it's been way too busy to plan it out just yet, but we will get there). We don't have to worry too much about switching wardrobes down here...it's hot throughout the year, so most of the summer wardrobe just hangs out with the occassional jacket we may need during the winter.
Glad the girls night worked out. I went through shoes recently and sold a couple more pairs on eBay!
I am really grateful for the time I get to spend with my husband this week before he leaves for 8 months!
All great things to be thankful for... What a great idea!
And I am thankful for you visiting my blog :) Thanks!
Wonderful thankfuls... I did get mine done this week (Thankful Thursday)... Yeah!
I still haven't got my book yet... darn it. But I am waiting on pins and needles.
I'm glad your night out went good. I know all about being tense with one of my girls. My youngest was my challenge.
Very good things to be thankful for! I would like to be thankful for some summer weather so I can wear my summer clothes!
Alex - I'm so happy that you and Sephie are planning a Girls Night. I hope you can find time for it soon.
Sharon - I can't believe you haven't gotten your book yet. Ugh! Glad to know I'm not alone in having a "tense" relationship with one of my girls.
having a week to do your #3 would make me giddy-happy. Then another week would pass I'd be up to my eyebrows in unfinshed projects, laundry and messes all over again!
Mommy - I know, I know. It can be a never ending battle to keep on top of things. Sometimes it gets to the point where it's stressing me out and I just have to clear my calendar and deal with it.
I'm jealous you have seasonal clothes...it's hot here 24/7 365.
Stereos - I know just what that's like. Before moving back to RI in 2001, I lived in AZ for 14 1/2 years. It was brutal. I don't miss that weather at all.
