Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursdays are all about taking the time to appreciate all the little things that actually went right during the week. I am someone who can get flustered very easily - even when the smallest thing goes wrong. So why not focus on all the little things that went right and be grateful?

1. I'm thankful that on Sunday, our wedding anniversary, our older daughter, Katie, arranged to make dinner for Geoff and me at Geoff's mom's house. Isn't that so thoughtful? I was shocked and so touched, to say the least.

2. I'm thankful that on Monday, Madeleine (our younger daughter) and I spent the day antiquing in a nearby town know for its antique shops. The best part? It was her idea! We had a great time - antiquing, having lunch and visiting the library. What's better than that?

3. I'm thankful that I was able to get together with a good friend I haven't seen in a while on Tuesday. She and her daughter were in my neck of the woods and Madeleine and I got to spend the afternoon with them. It was great!

4. I'm thankful that I'm having my carpets, sofa and chairs cleaned (as I write this post). It was getting to the point where I was grossed out every time I went in that room. Yay for clean upholstery.

How about you? What are you thankful for?

I am thankful that the housepainters are finished. Only two days over the time they guessed it would take.

I am thankful that we may have finally cracked the potty training.

There's nothing like getting carpet/upholstery/whatever cleaned!! Makes the whole house feel good...

I'm thankful today that I have a Costaco pizza in the fridge and I don't have to cook dinner tonight :) It's the little things, right?

I am thankful to have found a place that actually DELIVERS food to my home that isn't a fast-food-pizza place! (But it is a pizza place, that has other stuff!) FINALLY! YUM!

I am thankful that I got to eat lunch with my youngest daughter outside today, amidst storm clouds and all. And I am thankful that it didn't rain!

I'm thankful for the rain that came today. Slight tinkle on our metal rood. So welcome after days of 100 degree weather and brown lands.

Yay for bonding time with your girls!

I am thankful that after a month of being bored, there's fun stuff on the horizon again.

It sounds like your girls are growing up, and doing a good job of it. It's times like these that you tend to forget the snark wars they have with each other. Give yourself a pat on the back for that!

Acknowledging gratitude is a perfect route to a calm night and day. I've got four kids in house - one missing. Everybody is doing their own thing right here. Even though they are not in the same room, there is comfort I am most grateful for.

I'm thankful for a sunny day. This summer has been nothing but rainy in New Hampshire.

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest.
