Here's my take on this episodes of my favorite shows:
1. The Biggest Loser - I was actually starting not to hate Tracy as much this week until she admitted to the camera that she hoped the Black team had cheated while at home and had eaten cake, etc. What a mean-spirited little twit. There I said it. I really don't like mean-spirited people. Everyone else at the ranch seems to genuinely be rooting for everyone else's success, but not Twit Tracy. She's mean, phony and two faced. Exactly the kind of person I despise. On another note, why is it that every week the person that goes home is NOT the person I think should go home. I really didn't want Dina to go this week. I think Daniel should have gone home. Now don't get me wrong, I love Daniel. But this is his second chance on the show and he has proven that he is able to lose weight at home. I felt as though Dina really needed more time there. Of course, she did great at home. And I'm glad for that. Can't wait to see what next week brings.
2. Modern Family - Count Manny the Colombian Coffee Drinker. That whole scene had me rolling on the floor. Still loving the humor in this show.
3. Glee - OK this week is the first time the quirkiness that is Glee didn't appeal to me. As you know, I've been curious as to why I enjoyed this show so much. Well this week I felt it was just OK. Nothing really grabbed me. I missed seeing some big group dance numbers. And the dance sequences between Sue and Will and Emma and Will were creepy and not fun or endearing. Of course, Madeleine (of "Glee is life" fame) freaked out when I said I didn't enjoy that episode. So, maybe it's just me. I'm still going to watch more episodes. I'm not convinced it wasn't just a weak episode. Time will tell. What did all you Glee fans think? Did this episode seem up to par or was it lacking Glee's usual charm? Just wondering.
4. The Office - I LOVED the Jim/Dwight prank with the duck mallard. Classic Office. Remember in earlier seasons all the Jim/Dwight pranks? Those were some of the best Office moments. It's been awhile since we've seen that kind of interaction. I hope they keep it up. I didn't mention this after the wedding episode, because I didn't think it was going to matter all that much, but did the rest of you Office fans notice that the actress who played Pam's mom was not the same actress who appeared in a previous episode as Pam's mom. It kind of bugged me, especially since the "type" of person each portrayed was so different. The original "mom" was more a typical mom. This newer mom is more hard edged, more glamorous, more bitter. If this new mom is going to be a bigger part of the show (which it appears she is) that really bugs me. Pam's mom was not originally portrayed this way and had a whole different persona, attitude and look. The writer's need to realize that we serious Office fans notice and remember this stuff. Even if it happened 4 seasons ago. Just saying....

My kids all love the Office. Not sure what I'm doing when it is on the TV. I know the Dwight character was on Six Feet Under.
I noticed Pam's mom was a different actress, but I didn't mind her being bitter and everything because of the unexpected divorce.
I still haven't watched Modern Family. I want to check it out, just haven't had time.
ok so I only watch biggest loser and I have a tv tuesdays post that is going to go over this. I agree I don't like that Tracey is all about the game and etc. when everyone else is more sincere and trying to support others and not just be selfish... I never thought of that point of view of daniel going home over dina, I really didn't feel strongly either way, not like last week when they KEPT tracey!
The Buzz, Brandy
Modern Family was crazy funny this week.
I liked Glee a lot this week - but I am a huge sucker for 'boy dancing'. When Mr. Shoe busted a move - and slid on his knees - well - let's just say I like it when boys bust that particular move. Seemed like a lot of people grew a little bit as characters this week. But y'know what? different strokes for different folks! If we all liked the same things it would be a mighty dull world.
Modern Family is my new favorite. Cam and the Realtor Dad trying to be cool(why am I blanking on his name?) make my insides hurt from laughing to hard. (When the plane hit his face I don't know why, but OH.MY.GOD. Funny.)
And I thought it was me...with the Office and noticing that wasn't Pam's other mom? Weird. I don't like it either.
The Office with the mallard was hysterical! Pam was a little crazy though!!! ;)
Oh! I'd just like to add that, as I was humming "Bust a Move" this afternoon and smiling, Tom said, "No-one at work liked Glee this week."
So I guess I'm in a minority on this one...
OMG... The Office cracks me up!
Gosh, I have GOT to start watching more TV! I have been watching Glee (at my teenage barn helper's insistence)and I do get a giggle from it.
But, if I was only going to watch one show..is there one I SHOULD NOT miss?
Out of all those shows the only one I have seen is Glee and for some reason I just can't get that gleeful for Glee - for some reason it doesn't appeal to me....
I am a sheltered dork. I have seen none of these shows! :(
I must see The Office one of these times. Since I work in the office products industry, I'm sure I could relate to this show and love it!
Everywhere I go people are talking about Glee, I think I'm going to have to check it out. Modern Family is one of our new favorites too, it is quite funny!
I share your distaste for Tracy on Biggest Loser too. I honestly can't stand when they show her talking privately to the camera. Why does she think everyone likes her? It's pretty obvious no one does.
I was bummed too when Dina went home and then this week when Abby went home. I could NOT stop crying when they showed Abby returning home. She actually looks wonderful and so happy!
