Rhode Island has been having a good old fashioned New England winter this year. We've already had 6 major snowstorms, which is very unusual. Last night we got 10 more inches. Here is what I woke up to this morning.

The view from my side door
The view from my front door
The view from inside my garage
It's a good thing I like winter!

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING>
Despite the harshness that accompanies such a BIG winter, Mother Nature brings us stunning BEAUTY! Loved these photos. (I too love winter, but only until March 1 every year.)
Really beautiful, despite the amount of work involved :)
Very pretty, as long as you don't have to go out in it! :) You've had SIX snowstorms? Ohhhh my gosh!
It looks beautiful Pam, but I have to say that winer is one of the few things I do NOT miss about living on the E. Coast. I'll take our 70s in January over shoveling any day!
Wow. It's beautiful to look at, but I could take it for maybe two days before the thrill would be gone. I'm a California weather weenie. ;)
The snow is beautiful!
We're having a old fashioned Midwestern winter: gray skies, weeks on sub-freezing temps. I'm envious of the blue skies I see in your pictures. I'm ready for winter to be over.
I am so tired of this winter I have not taken one photo with a regular camera. I have been taking some with my camera phone to upload my 365 Project which is a picture a day. That's plenty. We have snow drifts that are 5' high in some places in the yard.
Oh my goodness that is quite a snowfall. I do not like winter in general but somehow snow and glorious blue skies make it bearable.
The pictures are gorgeous, and I'd be fine with all that as long as I had:
1. Heat
2. Electricity
3. A fire place
4. Food and coffee
5. Books
A computer and phone would be nice, but I think I could even go without technology if I had good company.
I hope you are all safe and sound!
Beautiful! Something we don't get to see here in the Phoenix area. But we miss it from when we lived in Michigan! Stay warm my friend.
Gorgeous:) except the shoveling yourself out part:(

I'll say. Of course, the beauty in your photos is the best part. Always lovely to walk in a gentle snow or see it untouched. Your photos are most inviting. Although I was sitting in my backyard today -- in shorts, barefoot. Soaking up some Vitamin D. But all good things come to an end. 20 degree weather due Tuesday.
